Job Description

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll work closely with senior engineers and directors to support the delivery of projects across the UK. You’ll play a key role in designing mechanical systems for various sectors, contributing to sustainable engineering solutions while building your expertise and progressing toward leading your own projects.

Job Responsibilities :

Collaborate with senior engineers to design mechanical building services systems for a variety of projects.
Contribute to innovative, sustainable designs that align with net-zero carbon goals.
Prepare design drawings, calculations, reports, and specifications.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects and contractors.
Gain exposure to residential, leisure, and education projects, ensuring variety in your work.
Progress toward leading your own projects, with support to advance to Senior and Principal Engineer roles.

Job Requirements :

Hold a BEng/MEng in Mechanical Engineering or a related qualification.
Have 2–4 years’ experience in mechanical design within building services.
Be passionate about sustainable and low-carbon design.
Have a strong working knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and (ideally) IES or other simulation tools.
Demonstrate excellent communication and teamworking skills.
Be proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a supportive team environment.
