Job Description

As an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer, you will be involved in all stages of building projects, from concept through to handover. You’ll take a lead on the design of mechanical systems, ensuring they align with the client’s vision for sustainable and energy-efficient buildings.

You’ll work closely with clients, architects, and other specialists to deliver innovative, high-quality designs while contributing to the company’s reputation for excellence in low-carbon engineering.

Job Responsibilities :

Develop and design low-energy mechanical systems tailored to client needs.
Lead on building physics analysis and integrate results into your designs.
Prepare technical drawings, calculations, reports, and specifications.
Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other design teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
Supervise and mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
Oversee on-site progress and take a lead role in commissioning and handover stages.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and contribute to business growth.

Job Requirements :

The ideal candidate will have:

Chartered or near-chartered status (CEng) with a professional institution.
4+ years’ experience in Mechanical Building Services roles.
A BEng/MEng in Mechanical Engineering or a related qualification.
Expertise in low-energy, sustainable design, and a commitment to tackling climate change.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and ideally IES, PHPP, or SAP.
A collaborative and proactive approach, with the ability to work independently.
Strong technical skills and attention to detail, with a drive to deliver innovative solutions.
